Bra Shopping!

An awkward subject, I know! It's always embarrassing to go out and buy a bra, weather its your first or like 15th! There are a few important things to keep in mind, so this will be in 3 sections!

1- SIZING
2- BRANDS
3- ASKING

Section 1: Sizing
When buying your first bra, or your first bra from a particular store, it is a good idea to get a fitting. In Victoria's Secret and Aerie, two popular stores for teenager bras, they will size you to the correct size. This is an extremely useful tool if you aren't willing to take awhile in the store! Have people help you, don't only rely on your judgement!

Section 2: Brands
The brand of a bra can really make a difference! In sizing, types, and even comfort. I personally prefer Aerie, Victoria's Secret PINK, and Xhilaration (which can be found in target). If you are a size that you know is hard to find, definitely check online!

Section 3: Asking

Asking your parent to purchase your first bra is definitely a big deal! They might be a bit hesitant at first, so offer a compromise! Maybe start off with training bras, or sports bras, or have your parent go with you.

Ins and Outs

In:
Bangs! I know that I don't have them, but I'm considering side/straight bangs in april... having my mom's AMAZING hair dresser do it, who else could I trust with my hair? Comment telling me what you would think of me with bangs. I think that bangs look so high-fashion and so cute! Straight or side, it doesn't matter! Bangs can totally make or break a look. You just have to be confident in them.

Teen Vogue! I have been reading it as much as some people read school books. I will read it over, and over, and OVER! I really liked the february issue with the atricle on lucy hale! I <3 PLL! But the fashion tips are so unique and high fashion as well! I have recently been getting really into fashion! Would you like me to do a fashion blog?

Pretty Little Liars! It is so intense and perfect for any age 12+. I started watching when I was 11, but some parents don't like younger girls watching pg13 shows. My parents are ok with it, but not all are. I have read all the books twice.... but I promise I won't spoil it! Would you like me to do PLL recap videos on tuesday? Comment Below!!

Out:
Overdone Bronzer! I found that it was kinda big during the summer, but now more girls are going au natural! Well, not truly natural, but natural-looking. I am naturally tan, but for those of you that are naturally pale, embrace it! Being pale is beautiful, but I think that being tan or dark is as well. People shouldn't tell you what skin color is "in" or "out"

People Magazine! And all other mags like that. All that is in tabloids are lies and the ever-so-rare truth isn't even juicy or something that people want to know. Much of the "fashion tips" in these magazines aren't even attractive, and they ONLY use drugstore. If people like high-end makeup, advertise high-end makeup! There should be a price range for any wallet!

American Idol! I'm sorry if you aren't living in the US, BUT this year's talent is great, and so are the judges, but I'm guessing that the ratings will go DOWN. Randy Jackson isn't the usually nice, funny, cool guy that he usually is. And, the part that is actually the show is very choppy and short. I honestly don't like it.

Natural Beauty Recipies!

There are many natural beauty recipies that can be made at your own home! These are some of my favorite recipes for face masks, face scrubs, and home made lip balms
Yougurt Oatmeal Face Mask
  • 1 tbsp oatmeal, finely ground
  • 1 tbsp live, organic yogurt (skip the flavored stuff)
  • A few drops of honey

Preparation:

Add the yogurt to the oatmeal in a small bowl and mix together. Warm a few drop of honey. To do this, warm a spoon under hot water for a minute, then add a few drops of honey to the spoon.
Stir the honey into the yogurt and oatmeal mixture.
Apply the mask to the face. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse off with several splashes of warm water. Follow with a warm washcloth.
Apply moisturizer.

Milk and Honey ScrubMaximize or minimize its moisturizing effect at will.
Choose your dairy:
1 tsp Skim Milk (Oily skin)
1 tsp 2% Milk (Normal or combination)
1 tsp Cream (Dry)
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp ground almonds

Cranberry Lip Gloss

Microwave one tablespoon Sweet Almond Oil, 10 fresh cranberries and 1 teaspoon honey until mixture starts to boil. Gently crush berries and stir well. Strain liquid through a fine sieve to remove any solids; pour into containers.

Review: Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara

I have been using this mascara for around 1 month and I LOVE IT! Its VERY high quality and creates full, long, but still seperated lashes. It doesn't leave your lashes clumpy and stuck together like many volumizing mascaras do. This mascara curls your lashes to the extent where you don't even have to curl your eyelashes. They also don't leave your eyelashes overwhelmingly black-- Estee Lauder has found the perfect black color! Is it a repurchase? DEFINATELY!

What Color?

There are always new things coming out- especially makeup. There are so many different colors to choose from, and there are always people in distress wondering what color eyeshadow to wear!

Baby Blue Eyes: Classic Choices: Taupe, gray, violet, purple, deep blue (a darker shade than your eye color makes your eyes really blue), black (mix it with bright blue for a smoky effect)
Funky Favorites: Silver, turquoise, fuschia (brightens any shade of blue)

Green Eyes: Classic Choices: Brown, apricot, purple, plum, deep khaki or forest green (because they are in the same greenish family, they brighten green eyes)
Funky Favorites: Gold, lime-green, really light green, bright purple

Brown Eyes: Classic Choices: Copper, bronze, champagne (soft pink with a touch of apricot), brown, beige, and khaki-green
Funky Favorites: Tangerine, royal blue, hot pink, lime-green (the contrast adds punch to brown)

Changing Eyes (Including Hazel): Classic Choices: Navy or charcoal base to define and a powder-blue shadow for highlighting (it brightens your brow bone)
Funky Favorites: Silver-sparkle shadow makes all eyes look edgy.
